Orion Yachting’s Ghost 78 was designed for an English yachtsman whose family circumstances (his wife) dictated that he move from sail to power. The early stages of design and concept were assisted by renowned English naval architects Nigel Irens and famous Dutch designer.
The design requirements of the client were unusual in that he required a large open deck space for entertaining and enjoying the Mediterranean climate together with a capacity to carry a number of water toys not normally associated with a boat of this size to include a racing sailing dinghy, jet ski and rib of sufficient size to allow water skiing and wake boarding for a young and active family.
